Pallavi

A dinamuninci pogaDi pogaDi
ASrayinci nI mahimalanu pADa lEdA

Shyama Shastri expresses his extreme devotion to God by asking whether he had not sung his praise and glories again and again from that day on (A dinamuninchi literally means that day onwards) and for a long time.  He expresses that he has surrendered himself totally to the Almighty and is completely dependent on His divine grace.

Anupallavi

Adi Sakti nIv(a)ni (namminAnu) nammina nannu
Adarinca lEvA daya lEdA (A dina)

He tells the Goddess (Sakti), that he completely trusted her as the supreme force. He questions the Goddess as to why she does not have the heart to support the devotee who completely trusted Her.

Charanam

ahi bhUshaNuni rANI purANI bhavAnI
ali kula vENI ASrita SrENI ambuja lOcanI
SyAma kRshNa pAlita jananI  akhila lOka pAvanI
SyAmaL(A)mbikE varadE abhaya dAnam(I)yavE (A dina)

He praises the Goddess - the Queen of the King who adorns the snake! The source and origin of all power! The Divine mother whose hair looks black and dark like a swarm of bees! The Divine Goddess in whom mortals in great number surrender! The graceful Protector, with eyes like the lotus, who safeguards the entire universe! The embodiment of Purity who cleanses the entire world! Mother Syamala who bestows her devotees with boons! He prays to the Divine Mother to grant him refuge and free him from all fear.

He expresses that he has surrendered himself totally to the Almighty and is completely dependent on His divine grace.
