Brief description: 

It is a janya raga of the 36th melakarta raga - chalanata. It is a combination of the Chalanata raga and the audava raga - Gambhiranata.  Like Madhyamavathi, it is said to be an auspicious raga and is mostly sung during the commencement of the concert. Compositions in praise of Lord Ganesha are mostly set to Naatai.
